Our Mission Statement:
To know God, and to make him known.
Welcome to Scott Hall Church! (You may have previously known us as Scott Hall Christian Fellowship or Hope Hall.)
We’re a warm, welcoming group of evangelical Christians who gather on the Scott Hall estate in Leeds. We're an all-age, independent church with a heart for our local community — and we'd love to meet you.
There are about fifty of us, from all walks of life and every age group, and there's always room for more.
Why not come along and see what we're all about? Our Connect all-age service at 12:00 on Sundays is a great place to start — join us from 11:30 for tea and biscuits first. We’d be delighted to welcome you!

Below is Scott Hall Church’s doctrine / statement of beliefs held by Scott Hall Church, which are embraced within our mission statement: “To know God and to make Him known “.
We believe in:
- the one true God who lives eternally in the equal trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and who creates and sustains all things.
- the inspiration, authority and sufficiency of the Bible as the word of God.
- the fact that humankind, made in God’s image, became corrupted by sin through the initial disobedience of Adam and Eve, resulting in separation and enmity between God and humans.
- God entering the world in human form through His Son Jesus Christ, who was born of the virgin Mary, was both fully human and fully God, and who lived without sin.
- the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection which assured eternal forgiveness and reconciliation with God for all who accept His offer of salvation.
- Jesus’ ascension back to Heaven where He is our great high priest, interceding for and providing direct access for all believers into the presence of God.
- His promise that He will return as Lord of all and will receive all His people in His new kingdom.
- His promise that salvation is assured and cannot be taken away from anyone who accepts Jesus’ offer of salvation and invites Him into their heart in the form of the Holy Spirit who renews, empowers and guides. This is achieved by faith alone.
- the demonstration of entering a new identity in Christ through baptism in water, and by a declared confession of faith.
- remembering the sacrifice made by Jesus through regular sharing of bread and wine and in the reception at this communion for all who examine their hearts and declare themselves true followers of Him.
- in reaching out to our local community with the Gospel through evangelical services, and events for all ages, sharing the love of God and leading others towards salvation.
- in building up the knowledge of God and in strengthening the personal faith of all members and attendees of Scott Hall Church by regular Bible teaching, and through pastoral care from the leadership.

In worship:
Worshipping God together, and encouraging each other to do this individually. This includes celebrating communion/ ‘breaking bread’ in obedience to Jesus’ request that we regularly remember him in his death and resurrection.
In Prayer:
Faithfully praying together for: each other, our local community, missionary contacts, leaders both in the church and beyond, our country, and for all peoples across the world.
In Teaching:
Through delivering biblical teachings and encouraging each other and ourselves to them put into practice, we aim to live as a united and loving community of God’s people who follow the example set to us in God’s word: the Bible.
In Witnessing:
By sharing the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ through events and individual witness in our local community, we aim to bring others to knowing God for themselves.
